Elvera T. Pierce, 92, of Warren, passed away at 3:12PM Saturday March 14, 2020 at Continuing Health Care of Niles.

She was born October 28, 1927 in Niles the daughter of Sandy and Angeline Caroppoli Russo.

Vera was a waitress at various restaurants in the area and also a self-employed caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed crocheting, needlework, and ceramics.

Her husband William E. Pierce Sr. whom she married April 12, 1947 died March 24, 2009.

She will be deeply missed by her son William E. Pierce Jr. of Niles, her brother Tony Russo of Austintown, her niece Joyce Potts and her husband Reggie, her great-nephew Rob Potts, and her great-niece Janet Potts and her husband Hamid Nawaz.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dan Russo, John Ross, and Mike Ross, and two sisters, Rose Marie Rudin and Mary Marks.

Friends may call from 9:30AM to 10:30AM Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 10:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
