Frank A. Scattino Sr, 91, of Niles died Friday April 3, 2015 at Assumption Village Nursing Home in North Lima, Ohio.

He was born February 24, 1924 in Warren the son of Nicola and Dorothea Coricelli Scattino.

He was a 1942 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and employed as a beer and wine salesman for Union Distributing and Superior Beverage for most of his life retiring in 1987. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed fishing, traveling to casinos, an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and New York Yankee fan, and a United States Army veteran of World War II.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Rita Calderone Scattino whom he married November 11, 1961, a son Frank A. Scattino Jr. and his wife Melessa of Girard, a daughter Christine McBane and her husband Sean of Warren, a brother Nick Ceglia and his wife Mary Ann of Warren, and three grandchildren, Aundrea Scattino, Alissa Scattino, and Katy McBane.

He was preceded in death by a brother George Ceglia and two sisters, Christine Ceglia and Josephine Sember.

Friends may call from 9AM to 10:30AM Monday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 10:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery where Frank will be honored for his military service by the Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
