Gayle N. Saluga, 70, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday April 2, 2024 at Shepherd of The Valley Liberty after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 14, 1953 in Warren the daughter of the late Dominic and Rebella Giordanengo Chance. Gayle was a 1971 graduate of McDonald High School and attended Youngstown State University for two years. She was employed for 26 years at Delphi Packard Electric and was of The Catholic Faith. She enjoyed shopping, reading, traveling, going out every Friday with her friends, movies, and Inky her cat. Her husband James D. Saluga whom she married October 16, 1976 died August 24, 2011. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Sandra Saluga of Warren, and many cousins and friends She was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Chance. Friends may call Tuesday from noon to 1:30PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital, Shepherd of The Valley Liberty, and Hospice of The Valley for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers materials contributions can be made in Gayle's memory to your favorite cat or animal rescue charity.
