Gene A. Morello, 90, of Austintown, passed away on Wednesday June 21, 2023 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1933 in Niles the son of Gilbert and Grace Peters Morello. Gene was a 1951 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, a supervisor at General Motors Lordstown for 30 years retiring in 1996, was of the catholic faith, and enjoyed golfing. He will be deeply missed by his wife Lois Kronenberger Morello whom he married May 18, 1963 two sons, Richard Morello of Green, Ohio, and Brian Morello and his wife Jolene of Niles, two daughters Barbara Morello and Diane Morello both of Mansfield, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Lukkarila, five brothers, John Morello and Ray Morello, Rocco Simini, Joseph Simini, and John Simini and a sister Mary Jane Liste. Private family services were held. Burial was in Greenhaven Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
