George W. Fennell, 92, of Niles passed away at 8:55PM Monday November 11, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Warren.

He was born February 20, 1927 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania the son of Orin and Eda Vencel Fennell.

George was employed at Trumbull Trucking as a diesel mechanic and also at Quality Concrete retiring in 1992. He was of The Methodist Faith, enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and a United States Merchant Marine veteran of World War II.

His wife Connie Leard Fennell whom he married February 28, 1946 died December 18, 2004.

He will be sadly missed by a daughter Nancy Ritz and her husband Ronnie Sr. of Niles, three grandchildren, Kimberly Ritz-Hunter, Ronnie Ritz Jr. and his wife Trisha, and Dominic Fennell, and five great-grandchildren, Danielle Ritz, Sarah Elizabeth Hunter, Emily Jean Hunter, Alexandra Ritz, and Mazzy Fennell.

He was preceded in death by a son Larry L. Fennell.

Committal services will be held 11AM Monday at The Niles City Cemetery Chapel where George will be honored for his military service by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
