Dr. George Anthony "Geo " Pascarzi passed away on January 31, 2016 at the age of 64.

Born on March 21, 1951 in Warren, Ohio to George and Mabel Pascarzi, Geo was a 1969 graduate of Warren John F. Kennedy High School and graduated from Washington State University with a degree in East Asian Philosophy. He continued his education at Wright State Medical School in Dayton, Ohio, completing his residency in General Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School/ Mass. General Hospital. Among his many professional accomplishments, Geo served as Assistant Clinical Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University, 1984-85. After moving to California and completing his residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at U.C.L.A. Neuropsychiatric Institute, Geo served as Medical Director at Western Youth Services and also worked at First Break Psychosis clinic (OC Crew) for Orange County in the Los Angeles area.

Geo loved to cook, was an avid reader, and was passionate about education. He loved to talk and share ideas and happily shared his wealth of knowledge with family and friends. A patient and devoted father, he always encouraged his children to pursue their dreams.

George is survived by his mother Mabel Pascarzi of Niles, Ohio ; his wife Karin ( Magoni ) of Brea , Ca .; children , Alex Pascarzi of San Francisco, Ca . and Dr . Christina Pascarzi of Oakland , Ca .; siblings , Mary Jo ( Dave ) Miller of Niles and Geri Ann ( Frank ) Ledenko of Niles ; cousin Dr . Russell Sebbio of Sagamore Hills who was like a brother . He also leaves many nieces and nephews including Michael and Anthony Ledenko of Niles. He was preceded in death by his father George Pascarzi.

Family and friends may call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home, 457 Robbins Ave., Niles. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave. Niles. Interment will follow at a later date at Niles City Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
