Gloria "Patti" Carnes, 73, of Niles, passed away at 7:38PM Wednesday July 22, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth's Youngstown Hospital. She was born April 25, 1947 in Cresson, Pennsylvania the daughter of Glenn and Lloydell Stuller Rickens. Patti was a graduate of Cresson Joint High School, employed at The Cresson Coat Factory, and a waitress at The Silver Nugget in Niles. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles,Niles Eagles Women's Auxillary, & enjoyed scrapbooking and coloring. She will be deeply missed by her husband Charles J. Carnes whom she married October 15, 1966,  daughter Michelle Marz and her husband Bob of Niles, three sisters, Donna Claar and her husband Eugene of Niles, Glenna Westover and her husband Carl of Cresson, PA, and Debbie McElheny and her husband Tim of Cresson, PA, two granddaughters whom she adored and lived for, Tricia Marz and her fiancée Samuel Kumar, and Sara Marz, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother Wilna Rickens, two infant daughters Sandra Lynn Carnes and Patricia Carnes, three brothers, Paul, Tom, and James Rickens, and a sister Lois Moreland. Friends may call Sunday from 3:30PM to 5:00PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Due to the current health situation social distancing measures are expected to be observed and friends coming to pay respects to the family are kindly asked to promptly depart the funeral home after doing so.
