Gloria A. Malone, 93, of Warren, passed away on Monday July 1, 2024 at Shepherd of The Valley in Howland. She was born June 9, 1931 in Niles the daughter of Antonio and Lucille Rossi Mannella. She was a 1949 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a graduate of The School of Business Machines at Youngstown State University. She was employed as a secretary for the Mayor of Niles and the Niles City Health Department. Gloria was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Niles, Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, member and past president of The Catholic Women's Guild, Mt. Carmel Weekly Rosary Ladies Group which she hosted at her home for over 25 years, team captain of The IAF Drive, and past officer of The Home and School Association. She served eight years as commissioner on The Niles Civil Service Commission, six years as member of The Board of Directors for Multiple Sclerosis in Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana Counties, and was elected and served a four year term as commissioner of Trumbull County on The Trumbull County Charter Commission. Her husband Joseph Malone whom she married September 5, 1953 died January 19, 1989. She will be sadly missed by a son Dr. Thomas Malone of Punta Gorda, Florida, two daughters, LouAnn Fredericka and her husband Judge James of Warren and JoAnn Key and her husband Doyle of Springboro, Ohio, four grandchildren Joseph Malone, Sarah Malone, Gina Fredericka, and Attorney Michael Fredericka. She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Lou Gamble. Friends may call Friday from 9 to 10:30AM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Friday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Niles preceded by a 10:30AM prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
