Grace Ann Mohorick, 83, of Mineral Ridge, died at 4:30PM Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her residence.
She was born February 6, 1928 in Niles the daughter of Pietro and Carolina Capozzolo Ruberto.
She was a 1945 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a graduate of Bay View Hospital Medical Technician Program in Cleveland.
Grace was employed as a lab technician for several area doctors, including Dr. John Noll, and at U. S. Steel's medical clinic before retiring in 1986.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge, its Women's Guild, and bereavement ministry. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her families sporting events, taking casino trips, and traveling all over the world with her husband. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, making biscotti as gifts and remembering family and friends with a card on special occasions.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Max Mohorick, the love of her life, whom she married October 12, 1986; a son Mark Mohorick and his wife Darlene of Green Township, Ohio; three grandchildren, Daniel Mohorick and his wife Elizabeth, Julia Perkins and her husband Courtenay, and Jeremy Mohorick and his wife Megan; five great-grandchildren, Jayden, Isaiah, Brysen, Johnathan, and Layla; her nieces and nephews, Caroline Matzye and her husband Tim, Peter Ruberto and his wife Deborah, Barbara Anerino and her husband Greg, Karen Hvizdos, Maurice LaRubbio and his wife Andrea, Anthony Ruberto, Lynnette Ruberto, and Maria Karas, and her great nieces and nephews, Brian and Andrea Matzye, A.J. and Laura Ruberto, Carmella and Vincent Ruberto, Peter George Rawlins; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ruberto; and her great niece and caregiver Marsha Pantalone.
She is preceded in death by a brother Anthony Ruberto, two sisters, Barbara Karas and Antoinette LaRubbio, a nephew Thomas Ruberto, and a brother in law Andrew Karas.
Friends may call from 2 to 4PM Sunday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30AM Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge, with Fr. Richard Murphy officiating, preceded by a 9:45AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
