Grace Estes Shelley

Grace Estes Shelley, 93, died on August 1, 2012 at Shepard of the Valley Nursing Home in Niles, OH.

She was born to James and Raffaela Villio in Niles, OH on March 25, 1919. She married Heman Estes who preceded her in death on October 21, 1942. She worked as a spot-welder at Wilder Manufacturing. On July 3, 1948 she married Raymond Shelley who predeceased her on June 25, 2005.

Grace was an avid and long-standing member of Niles Christian Assembly. In her later years she enjoyed participating in a senior activity center in Niles, OH.

She is survived by three children, her son, James "Doodle" Estes, of Buena Park, California and her daughters, Peggy Ann Tackett and Gloria Jean Martin, of Niles, OH. She is survived by one brother, Daniel Villio, and two sisters, Ruth Villio Leedy and Rebecca Villio Shaffer, and predeceased by two sisters, Mary Villio Brown and Ann Villio Williams, and by one brother, Lawrence Villio. She had nine grandchildren, survived by six granddaughters and two grandsons and preceded in death by one grandson. She is further survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Friday, August 3, from 5:00pm-7:00pm and Saturday, August 4, from 10:00-10:30am at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home at 457 Robbins Avenue, Niles, OH 44446. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. John Mizgerd, is on Saturday, August 4, at 11:00am at Niles Christian Assembly, 672 North Road, Niles, OH 44446.

The burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
