James Albert Pappada, 69, of Niles died at 11:55AM Monday May 13, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Warren.

He was born April 27, 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the son of Carmen and Nola Lohman Pappada.

Jim was a 1962 graduate of Niles McKinley High School where he played on the 1961 football state championship team. He was employed at RMI in Niles for 35 years, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed computers and horse racing.

He will be deeply missed by two sons, James V. Pappada of Howland and George Pappada of Niles, two step-sons Doug Solitto of Niles and Joe Solitto of Austintown, a daughter Amber Thompson and her husband Brian of East Palestine, Ohio a brother Michael Pappada and his wife Julie of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a sister Mary Ann Tauro and her husband Ronald of Niles, six grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Vince, Dominic, Logan, and Brittany, and his best friends Donald "Ducky" Collette and Char Kovach.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Carmen "Dodie" Pappada.
