James A. Mymo Sr. 94, of Niles died Saturday July 27, 2013 surrounded by his family at his residence

He was born November 4, 1918 in Niles the son of Antonio and Josephine Sanfrey Mymo.

He was employed as a tube operator at Jones and Laughlin Steel for 37 years retiring in 1977.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and was a United States Army veteran of World War II for four years having served in The American Theatre and Panama.

James, who would give the shirt off his back, and anyone who came over his house was always fed will be deeply missed by the love of his life, his wife Betty Jane Jenkins whom he married November 28, 1942, two sons James A. Mymo Jr. of Warren and Carl Mymo, at home, a daughter Karen Ashiolas of Niles, a sister Loretta Quinlan of Niles, three grandchildren, Christine Murray and her husband James, Danielle Munno and her husband Michael and Lori Ashiolas, and seven great-grandchildren, Alex Ashiolas, Emily Rose Murray, Connor Murray, Drew Munno, Isaiah Munno, Ethan Reiter, and Brendan Reiter, and his niece and nephew/second children Pam Hinder and Robert Ferguson. Jim always thought his grandchildren and great-grandchildren did nothing wrong in his eyes.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Dominic Mymo, Anthony "Butch" Mymo, Sam Mymo, Joseph Mymo, and William M. Mymo Sr., and six sisters, Mary Infante, Catherine Horniak, Roselyn Fonce, Lena Fogarty, Theresa Guarino, and Helen Albu.

Friends may call Tuesday from 9 to 11AM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Pastor Jim Mashburn of New Life Christian Fellowship Church officiating.

James will be buried in Niles City Cemetery with full military honors.
