James L. Pegg Sr.,  70, of Niles died 5:30AM Monday March 21, 2016 at his residence.

He was born February 24, 1946 in New Martinsville, West Virginia the son of Ray and Roxie Phillips Pegg

He was a 1965 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, employed for 30 years at General Motors Lordstown, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, United Auto Workers Local 1112, enjoyed fishing, boating, avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, watching his grandchildren play sports, and a United States Navy Veteran.

Jim, who was dedicated to his family and grandchildren, will be deeply missed by his wife Jessica Soda Pegg whom he married November 26, 1966, a son James L. Pegg Jr. and his wife Lynn of Vienna, two daughters, Stephanie Masters and her husband Jeff of Niles, Shelly Ventura and her husband Augusto of Mecca, a brother Phillip Pegg and his wife Pat of Texas, two sisters Mary Jo Truhan of Howland and Modean Huff and her husband Robert of Cortland, five grandchildren, Alexander, Taylor, and Marissa Ventura, Jimmy and Jared Pegg, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents a brother Ray Lee Pegg, and a brother-in-law Dan Truhan

Friends may call from 4 to 7PM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM.

Funeral services will be held 9:30AM Saturday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Friends may also call a half hour before the service on Saturday.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery where Jim will be honored for his military service by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
