James A. Villecco, 88, of Niles, passed away on Friday July 10, 2026 at Mercy Health St. Joseph’s Warren Hospital with his loving children by his side.

He was born January 5, 1938 in Niles the son of Paul and Carmel Petrarca Villecco Sr.

Jim was a 1955 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed at National Gypsum for 48 years retiring in 2008.

He was a member of Saint Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, The Monthly Italian Amici Club, enjoyed dancing, avid Niles McKinley Football Fan, and a United States Army Veteran serving with The First Armored Division stationed in Korea after the war at The DMZ.

His wife Josephine Ezzo Villecco whom he married November 16, 1968 passed away June 28, 2026.

He will be sadly missed by his son Jim P. Villecco(Kamryn) of Niles, his daughter Julie Villecco of Liberty, sister-in-law Joyce Villecco of Niles, brother-in-laws, Tom Ezzo of Girard and Dan Ezzo of Youngstown, his nephew Brian Villecco(Susan), and his great-nephew Jesse.

He was preceded in death by his brother Paul R. Villecco Jr.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4PM until the time of the 6PM funeral service at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
