Jane A. Cera, 82, of Niles, died at 2:22AM Thursday May 17, 2012 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.

She was born July 4, 1929 in Galeton, Pennsylvania the daughter of Joseph A. and Ruby Smith Cera.

She was a 1947 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a graduate of St. John College in Cleveland with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing.

Jane was employed as a Nursing Service System Coordinator and the Associate Director of Nursing Service at St. Joseph's Riverside Hospital for 38 years retiring in 1990. She was resolute in her faith, and was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Niles. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting and Sunday donuts with her family. She adored Siamese cats. She relished decorating for, and otherwise celebrating every holiday.

She was completely devoted to her family. She will be deeply missed by her husband Pat L. Cera Sr. whom she married October 4, 1952, two sons Pat L. Cera Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Niles, Charles J. Cera and his wife Ann of New Springfield, Ohio, two daughters, Jane Marie Cera of Niles, Michigan, and Mary Beth Cera and her husband Kevin Allen of Niles, two brothers Joseph Cera and his wife Nena of Peach Tree City Georgia, and James Cera and his wife Catherine of Niles, a sister Mary Ellen Readman of Niles, six grandchildren, Kristy Lynn Cera, Jessica Rae Cera, David Dudgeon and his wife Debbie, Jill Cuckovich, Christopher Allen and his wife Jennifer, and Jason Allen, and ten great-grandchildren, Kai Lawrence Cera, Alex "Mo" Cuckovich, Madelyn "Maddy" Cuckovich, Marley Cuckovich, Amelia "Mia" Cuckovich, David "Cooper" Dudgeon, Emily Rae Dudgeon, Jacob Allen, Gavin Allen, and Logan Allen.

Memorial Mass will be held 10:00AM Friday May 25, 2012 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Niles with Father Thomas Kraszewski officiating.

The family will receive friends following the mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's School or the Animal Welfare League in Jane's name.
