Janice M. Travaglini, 83, of Warren, Ohio, died unexpectedly Saturday March 12, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
Born July 27, 1932 in New Castle, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late John C. and Olive Wagner Bartley.
Janice worked for Travaglini Enterprises for forty years; retiring in 2009. She was a 1950 graduate of Union High School in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Active throughout her life, she was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Mother Advisor of the International Order of The Rainbow Girls, and also the Director of the Miss Crawford County Scholarship Pageant. Most recently, she volunteered at St. Joseph's Hospital in Warren in the gift shop and at the information desk. She served as a trustee for The Butler Institute of Art and continued her involvement with the Raymond D. Travaglini Annual Scholarship Award through Youngstown State University. She is a member of The Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown.
Janice is survived by her two daughters, Lynda Bloom Cetta of Malverne, NY and Laura Bloom of Wading River, NY; grandson, John Robert Boselli of Bradenton, Florida and a great-granddaughter, Shelby Boselli. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Travaglini, her two brothers William Bartley and Edward Bartley and her son-in-law Thomas W. Cetta.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at The Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, Youngstown, Ohio 44505, preceded by a 9:00am prayer service at the funeral home. Entombment with committal will take place at Niles City Cemetery, Niles, Ohio.
