Obituary

Jennie M. Marino, 86, of Niles, Ohio, died at 9:05AM Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio

She was born March 27, 1924 in Niles the daughter of James and Maria Sando Ferruggio

Jennie was a 1941 graduate of Niles McKinley High School,and employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Connecticut, and a sales clerk at Shaker Department Store in Niles. She served as the Director of The Niles City Income Tax Department for 27 years, a position she thoroughly enjoyed.

Jennie was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles. In addition, she was a member of The Niles Democratic Club and proudly served as a precinct committee person for over 20 years. Her entire life was truly devoted to The Infant Jesus. For 47 years, she tirelessly worked hand sewing beautiful infant outfits which the church sold and then raffled at The Annual Mt. Carmel Festival. Many of these infants and outfits were sent throughout the country.

Most importantly, her family was her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a most unselfish person. Her Sunday evening gatherings at her house will be remembered and cherished forever.

She enjoyed sewing,gardening, and flowers

Her husband Joseph A. Marino Sr. whom she married February 6, 1942 died June 14, 1992.

She will be deeply missed by a son Joseph A. Marino Jr. and his wife Susan of Warren, three daughters,Mae Ritter and her husband Bill of St. Petersburg Florida. Mary Lou Hill and her husband James of McDonald, and Rita Jo Koehn and her husband Richard of Niles, a sister Filomena Donadio of Niles, nine grandchildren, William Ledsome Jr., Keith Ledsome, Lisa Hill November, Jim Hill, Jeffry Koehn, Dawn Koehn, Kim Marino, Joseph Marino III, and Jane Marino, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Josephine Ferruggio

Friends may call from 4 to 7PM Saturday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where the Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry and The Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will conduct prayers at 6:30PM

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30AM Monday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, with Fr. Larry Frient officiating, preceded by a 9AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi & Sons Funeral Home Inc in Niles.

She was born April 1, 1927 in Jackson, Michigan the daughter of William and Joan Finkbiener Miller.

She was a 1945 graduate of Jackson High School in Michigan, and was employed for 10 years as a teachers Aid for Fairhaven Schools in Niles before retiring in 1989.

June enjoyed gardening and visiting family and friends.

Her husband Rudolph B. Honsinger whom she married November 23, 1946 died August 24, 2005.

She will be deeply missed by a son Paul W. Honsinger Sr. and his wife Dorothy of Gustavus, Ohio, a daughter Marie Honsinger with whom she made her home, three grandchildren, Mark Honsinger and his wife Jean, Sarah Honsinger, and Paul W. Honsinger Jr. and his wife Adriana, and two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Eric Honsinger.

She is preceded in death by a son Jerry Honsinger, and a brother Ralph Miller.

Friends may call from 4 to 7PM Friday May 7, 2010 at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral Service will be held 10AM Saturday May 8, 2010 at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi & Sons Funeral Home Inc., in Niles.
