Jo Ann L. Ward, 80, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth's Youngstown Hospital. Jo Ann was born on July 17, 1945 in Monongahela,Pennsylvania, the daughter of Katherine (Gates) and George Kline, Jr. She was a 1963 graduate of Monongahela High School, married Gregory F. Ward on December 2, 1967, and was happily married for nearly 58 years. Jo Ann worked as a phlebotomist at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for 25 years and was a member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish-St. Stephen Campus in Niles. She enjoyed spending time with her family, decorating and watching the Steelers, Pirates,Buckeyes and her grandchildren's high school and college sporting events. Family was always Jo Ann's top priority and she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandma. Jo Ann will be deeply missed by her husband,Gregory F. Ward, Sr. of Niles, son Gregory F. Ward, Jr. and his wife Candice of McDonald, daughter Michelle Smith of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and her four grandchildren, Rachel and Megan Ward, and Gavin and Marley Smith. In addition to her parents, Jo Ann is preceded in death by her brother George Scott Kline and sister Martha Lee Jurovcik. Per Jo Ann's request, cremation has taken place and services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and  Sons Funeral Home in Niles, OH 44446. Inurnment will take place in the City of Niles Cemetery.
