Joan J. Ifft, 81, of Niles, died Friday October 18, 2013 at Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Home in Niles.

She was born February 1, 1932 in Berlin Center, Ohio the daughter of William and Violet Kime Leith.

Joan was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Niles, Niles Football Mothers, volunteered at the family business at Avon Oaks Ballroom in Girard, enjoyed dancing, crocheting, and ceramics.

She will be deeply missed by her husband William Ifft Sr. whom she married January 6, 1954, a daughter Jodie Sterchi of Niles, a son William Ifft Jr. and his wife Renee of McDonald, a sister Sandra Thomason of Howland, four grandchildren, Brian Sterchi and his wife Michelle, Ryan Ifft, Cameron Ifft, and Nathan Ifft. and two step-daughters, Sherida Risner and her husband Glen of Rudolph, Ohio and Beth Harkins of Niles,

She was preceded in death by a sister Donna Jean Ravella.

Friends may call from 10 to 12PM Tuesday at The First Presbyterian Church of Niles.

Funeral Services will be held 12PM Tuesday at The First Presbyterian Church of Niles with Pastor Cindy Carlisle officiating.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery
