Johanna V. Hunter, 99, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2018. A longtime resident of Niles, OH, she was born December 29, 1918 in Manhattan, NY to late parents James and Loretta Kilourey. She was a custodian for many years at Niles McKinley High School. Johanna enjoyed vacationing in Canada with her family, cooking and was an avid reader.

Johanna is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Joseph L. Hunter Sr.; children, Joseph L. Hunter Jr., James M. Hunter, John Hunter; and great-grandson, Christian Kane. She is survived by daughter, Jessica; daughter-in-law, Barbara Hunter; grandchildren, Toni, Kim, Jodi, Becky, Georgia, Tom; 10 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday from 10am until the time of the 11am funeral service at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
