John C. Gatta Jr., 68, of Niles died at 6:40PM Thursday at his residence.

He was born March 3, 1945 in Niles the son of Ciriaco and Rose DeMase Gatta.

John was employed as an assembler for 28 years at General Motors Lordstown retiring in 1998. He was of The Catholic faith, enjoyed watching western movies, and working the Rogers and Four Seasons Flea Markets.

He will be deeply missed by three daughters, Denise Jackson of Niles, Victoria Jarome and her husband Phillip Sr. of Lisbon, Ohio, and Gina Gatta and her fiancAC.e David Gill Jr. of Niles, two brothers, Ernest Gatta of Liberty and Sam Gatta and his wife Sue of Cortland, a sister Susie Rhodanz of Liberty, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Larry Gatta and Rocco Gatta, and two sisters, Rose DeCapua and Ann Van Ness.

Funeral Services are private.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
