John A. Infante, Jr of Niles. 79, died April 25, 2015 at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.

He was born February 27, 1936, in Niles, the son of John and Angeline Cione Infante.

John was a 1954 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and served his country in the United States. Army.   He was employed at RMI Titanium in Niles for 37 years, before retiring in 1993.

He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State Buckeye fan.  He was also a member of the Bagnoli Irpino Club.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and being an active participant in their lives.  He was always very proud of all of their accomplishments.  He enjoyed model trains, listening to Polka music, and sharing his passion for history and war events with his grandchildren.  John also enjoyed his trips to the casino and was known to his grandchildren as "Poppy"

John will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Joni (James & step-grandaughter Jordan) Medsker of Dublin and Elaine (Vince) Brancaccio of Howland; his grandchildren; Christina (Ben) Nicholas; Dr. Joseph Razzano of Columbus, Nicholas John and Luke Anthony Brancaccio of Howland, and his great-grandson Nash Anthony Nicholas.  He is also survived by his brother and caregiver, Theodore Infante, with whom he made his home, his sisters Mary Russo and Josephine Nicastro, both of Niles, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Ciletti-Infante, and brother Michael Infante.

Per John's request, a private service will be held.

The family would like to thank Dr. William Eddy, the doctors and staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, and especially the Hospice House for their compassionate care.
