John J. O'Connell III, 64, of Warren, passed away on Saturday December 27, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Joseph's Warren Hospital. He was born October 28, 1961 in Warren the son of John and Mary Julian O'Connell Sr. John attended Howland Schools, was a member of Salvation Army of Warren, and participated at SCOPE. John loved people and never met a stranger. He loved watching T.V. Land, the Andy Griffith Show, and Frank Sinatra. He had a collection of movie star photos and vinyl records. He enjoyed The Drop In Center, living in Downtown Warren, attending movies at the Robins Theatre, and taking trips in the car. He will be sadly missed by his sister Bonnie Wilson and her husband Mike of Champion, a nephew Buddy Wilson of Warren, a niece Krista Koloskee of Warren, an uncle George "Bud" Reese of Cortland, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 5PM until the time of the 7PM funeral service Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to The Drop In Center C/O Salvation Army of Warren.
