Josephine Giuliano, 82, of Niles died Wednesday January 25, 2017 at her residence.
She was born May 5, 1932 in Niles the daughter of Philip and Antoinette Chieffo Giuliano.
She was a 1952 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, a graduate of The St. Louis School of Music and taught music at several area school districts for 10 years. She also worked for City Loan in Niles, and when her brother Philip opened Cherry's Top of The Mall she went on to work for him in his restaurants office. Then after a few years, went over to her uncle Jimmy Chieffo's restaurant on route 422 for 20 years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed interior decorating, working in her flower garden, baking and cooking for holidays.
Her husband Vincent Massaro whom she married October 30, 1954 died May 23, 1981.
She will be deeply missed by her sister-in-law Sandy Giuliano of Niles, her nieces Joanna Scarazzo and her husband Norman, and Betsy Craig and her husband Jeff, her cousins Theresa Kopp and her husband Mike of California and Anthony Chieffo and his wife Marilyn of Nevada. She also leaves her special friends Angie Cella, Rose Vince, Jennie Helmick, Dolores Gumino, and her neighbors Pat Gerke and Debbie Gerke.
She was preceded in death by her brother Philip Giuliano.
Private Committal Service and burial will be held in Pineview Cemetery.
