Josephine A. Marrara, 87, of Niles died at 12:50PM Friday March 7, 2014 at Vibra Hospital in Warren

She was born October 20, 1926 in Dover Ohio the daughter of Anthony and Julia Pietro Cardinal.

She was a 1944 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed as a matron for 17 years for The Niles City School District retiring in 1986.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Mt. Carmel Society, festival volunteer and enjoyed dancing and playing cards.

Her husband Sam N." Sarge" Marrara whom she married November 20, 1948 died August 28, 1998.

She will be deeply missed by three sons, Samuel Marrara of Millersburg, Ohio, Michael Marrara and his wife Brenda of Niles and Matthew Marrara of Niles, and two grandchildren Alicia and Michael Marrara

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Jeannie Marie Marrara and Lorraine Marrara, two brothers, Daniel Cardinal and Vincent J. "James" Cardinal, and a sister Virginia Cardinal.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will held 10AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:15 AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Josephine's calling hours and mass will be held in conjunction with her brother Jim Cardinal

Arrangements are being held by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
