Judith Mae LaPolla, 85, died 1:35am February 23,2025 at Community Skilled Nursing Home in Warren. Judy was born May 1,1939 in Youngstown the daughter of George and Florence Steiner Thompson. She was a 1957 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, member of  Saint Pope John the XXIII Parish ,Women's Bar Auxillary and loved playing tennis and crafting. Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and caring friend. Her husband Thomas A. LaPolla whom she married June 28,1958 died October 15, 2019. She will be deeply missed by her son Thomas A. LaPolla II of Brunswick, daughters Karen Uspenski and her husband Alex of Chardon, Susan Lieber of Niles, brother Dick Thompson of Eatonton, GA, sister Barbara  Thomas of Niles, sister in law Ann Sutherin and her husband Tom of Columbus, grandchildren Sam and Anthony Rathburn, Megan (Josh) Porter, Emily and Thomas LaPolla and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brother in law Ron Thomas and sisters in law Marcia Thompson and Mary LaPolla.

Many thanks to the nurses, staff and special friends at Community Commons for their years of loving care. Also to the resilient staff at CSHCC who strive to provide excellent care in the face of a very difficult situation. Judy, Judy, Judy… you will be missed!
