Judith I. Nicastro, 68, of Niles died Saturday April 26, 2014 at The Cleveland Clinic.

She was born February 17, 1946 in Youngstown, the daughter of Nathan and Mildred Schermer Gallup.

She was a 1964 graduate of Youngstown South High School and was employed for 20 years at Equitable Insurance and 8 years at Summerfield Appliances, retiring in 2011.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles and was involved in the Mount Carmel Society. Judy was a eucharistic minister, festival volunteer, and helped the church by selling pizzas and serving community suppers. She was also a member and past president of The Insurance Women of Mahoning County.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Anthony Nicastro, whom she married September 19, 1979, a son, Mark Mangiarelli and his wife Rebecca of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a granddaughter, Savannah Mangiarelli. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Anthony Nicastro.

Memorial Services will be held 11AM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Fr. John-Michael Lavelle officiating.
