Julia E. Matuszwski-Chuirazzi, 89, of Niles, died at 6:20AM Friday May 8, 2015 at Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Home in Niles.

She was born December 23, 1925 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania the daughter of Joseph and Virginia Bania Capan.

Julia was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles, the Cortland Conservation Club, enjoyed playing bingo, cards, baking, decorating, and jigsaw puzzles.

Julia was always proud to say that both of her husbands served during the Second World War.

Her first husband, Mike J. Matuszwski, whom she married June 14, 1947 died September 10, 1969.

Her second husband, John J. Chuirazzi, whom she married October 12, 1974 died November 11, 2005.

She will be deeply missed by a son, John D. Matuszwski Sr, of Liberty, two daughters, Marie Guerriero (Matuszwski) and her husband Lou of Howland, and Anne Coviello (Matuszwski) and her husband Ron of Cleveland, a brother Joseph Capan of Cortland, five grandchildren, John D. Matuszwski Jr., Katie Matuszwski,Fausto Stefani, Jacquelynn Matuszwski-Crooke and her husband Kendall, and Melinda Kilbert and her husband Larry, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Walter Matuszwski and Michael "Mickey" Matuszwski, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 7PM Monday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Tuesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
