Karen R. Guerra, 69, of Niles passed away 4:20 pm Friday February 16th at Hospice House in Poland.

She was born January 24, 1949 in Warren the daughter of Eugene and Vernadene Moore Spahr.

Karen was a 1967 graduate of John F Kennedy High School in Warren and was employed at Taylor Winfield Technologies in Youngstown as a sales coordinator for 30 years and at the City of Niles as a payroll clerk for 10 years.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, where she volunteered at their pizza sales.

Karen's two loves in life were golfing and chocolate. She was in multiple bocce leagues and enjoyed her casino trips especially to Las Vegas. Karen loved to travel. One particular trip that left a lasting impression on her was a scenic drive that was made with her and her husband from Los Angeles to San Francisco on Highway 1 along the Pacific Ocean. Also, every year Karen and her husband would vacation to Myrtle Beach with family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Phillip Guerra, whom she married November 28, 1985, her brother Joseph Spahr and his wife Marilyn of Warren, two brother-in-laws Larry Guerra and his wife Gina of Niles and Don Guerra and his wife Donna of Niles, her niece and goddaughter Janice Schneider and her husband Nick and their children Jake and Brooke,  her niece and goddaughter Amanda Guerra and her fiance Tom Clay, her niece Lynette Halbert and her husband Mike Vinson and their children Chase and Colin, and her nephew Donald Guerra and his wife Kim and their children Ashley, Austin and Abby.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father.

At Karen's request there will be no calling hours.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles.

Entombment will be in Pineview Memorial Park.
