Kevin A. Ramer, 54, of Niles died Tuesday at St Joseph Health Center in Warren.

He was born March 15, 1961 in Warren, the son of Joseph and Janet Steinhagen Ramer.

Kevin was a 1979 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, had worked at the maintenance department at the city of Niles, General Dynamics in Connecticut, Kraftmaid and he was also an accomplished cook.

He will be deeply missed by his mother of Niles, his wife Catherine Russell Ramer whom he married February 27, 1981, his son Stephen Ramer of Pittsburgh, two daughters Elizabeth Leapline and her husband Todd of Mineral Ridge, Julie Ramer of Niles, four grandchildren Tristen, Mitchell, Aaron, Maddison, three brothers G. Arthur Barker III of Oregon, Richard Barker and his wife Suzanne of Florida, Jory Ramer and wife Jennifer of Niles, three sisters Cynthia Barker of Cincinnati, Stephanie Allen and her husband John of Niles, Dedra Edmonds and her husband Cary of Wisconsin.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
