Larry Verhosek, 78, of North Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Niles, passed away on Monday September 16, 2024. Larry was born December 15, 1945 and raised in Niles, Ohio the son of the late Edward and Florence Lazzio Verhosek. He was a 1963 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, and a highly honored and decorated United States Air Force Veteran of 20 years. Larry is survived by his son William(Rhoda) Verhosek and his two grandchildren Edward and Dasha of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, his daughter Lynne Verhosek of North Charleston, South Carolina, two sisters, Gloria Lucente and Linda Verhosek, and a nephew Jonathan Butler all of Niles. He was preceded in death by his wife Lan, his youngest daughter Jill Verhosek, and his brother Edward Verhosek. Funeral services will be held at Simplicity Funeral Home in North Charleston on September 25, 2024. Burial will be in Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, South Carolina with full military honors for Larry. Local arrangements handled by The Joseph Rossi and Son Funeral Home in Niles.
