Lou Ellen Maschgan, 76 of Niles, was reunited with her hunny bunny on Monday December 18, 2023 at her residence. She was born August 8, 1947 in Warren the daughter of Louis and Helen Kuhn Soltesz. She was a 1965 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and attended Kent State University for two years. Lou Ellen was employed for 4 years at The St. Stephen  School cafeteria, a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard, enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, and collecting angels and cardinals. Her husband Bryan Maschgan whom she married May 4, 1968 died October 16, 2014. She will be deeply missed by two daughters Shelley Myers with whom she made her home, and Christina Cole and her husband Charles of Niles, a brother Louis Soltesz and his wife Victoria of McDonald, six grandchildren, Corey Myers, Cassie Bailey and her husband Kaelip, Jonathan Golias, Brandon Golias, Caydence Golias, and Hunter Cole, and a great-granddaughter Valerie Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Shirley Mignogna. Friends may call from 5PM up until the time of the 7PM funeral service Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
