Margaret "Margie" Chalmers,78, of Niles died at 2:51AM Friday March 29, 2013 at Northside Hospital in Youngstown.

She was born December 21 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the daughter of William and Margaret Cavanaugh Chalmers.

She was a 1953 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, employed in the Personnel Department at General Motors Lordstown for 23 years retiring in 1992.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Mount Carmel Society, a volunteer for Church Memorial Luncheons, and enjoyed bowling and golf.

She will be deeply missed by a daughter Kimberly Brown and her husband Martin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a brother Frank Chalmers and his wife Mary of Butler, Pennsylvania, four grandchildren Kevin (Caren) Purcell, Melissa (Todd) Schnuelle, Valeri and Meagan Purcell, and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Vance, Juliet, and Genevieve.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Robert and Raymond Chalmers

Memorial Service will be held 10 am Friday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Father John Michael Lavelle officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Hazelwood , PA
