Margaret M. Scott, 86, of Niles passed away May 22, 2011.

She was born October 17, 1924 in Weathersfield Township the daughter of Cornelius and Mary Dagnan Pelton.

Margaret was a 1942 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed for 10 years as cook for The Niles City School System.

She was a member of The Eastside Church of God in Warren and enjoyed counted cross stiching, gardening, cooking, and baking.

Her husband John P. Scott whom she married April 19, 1944 died June 11, 2004.

She will be deeply missed by a son John G. Scott and his wife Anita of Niles, a daughter Marsha Scott of Cortland, a sister Dorothy Collings of Niles, two grandchildren, John E. Scott and Tami R. Collins and her husband George, four great grandchildren, Brian M. Scott (Crystal), Mikayla N. Scott, Sadie M. Scott, and Sydney R. Collins, a great great grandson Hunter L. Scott, a brother-in-law Gerard Trudell of Niles, her close friends Boogie and Wilma Smith of Virginia and Sadie Kaya of Hawaii, and her beloved dog Sugar Baby.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, and two brothers, Edward Pelton and George Pelton.

Friends may call 4 to 7PM Wednesday and 10 to 11AM Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles officiated by Reverend Gary Morgan of The First Nazarene Church of Niles.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
