Marie Leatherberry, 64, of Cortland, died Monday June 4, 2012 at her residence.

She was born June 18, 1947 in Warren the daughter of Stanley and Kathrine Maxine Newell Burton.

She was a 1965 graduate of McDonald High School, was employed at Fellner's Pharmacy in McDonald for a few years and at K-Mart for 10 years on the floor.

She was of Protestant faith, past member of Precious Moments Collectors Club, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and scrap booking.

She will be deeply missed by her husband James Delmer Leatherberry whom she married November 5, 1966, a son James Alan Leatherberry and his wife Nancy of Cortland, a daughter Michelle Altier of Cortland, two brothers, James Burton of Santa Fe Springs, California, Alan Burton and his wife Mary Ann of Youngstown, five grandchildren, Zachary and Amy Leatherberry, Jimmy, Chris, and Mike Altier.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father.

Friends may call from 5 to 8PM Thursday and 10 to 11AM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Chaplain Jay Eastman officiating.

Burial will be in Greenhaven Cemetery.
