Marilyn Sue Candel, 59, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic.

She was born May 28, 1954, in Warren, the daughter of Martin and Leona Dillon Black.

She was a 1973 graduate of Howland High School, employed at Pat Catan's for 14 years, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed cooking, baking, spending time with her grandchildren, crafts, and raised foster children for several years.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Anthony R. Candel, whom she married May 12, 1973; a son, Anthony M. Candel and his wife, Lindsay of Howland; and seven grandchildren, Angelina Candel, Anthony Candel, Charles Candel, Elizabeth Candel, Samuel Candel, Caden Candel, and Jaxson Candel.

Her husband always said "you will always be 16 to me."

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private services were held.

Arrangements are being held by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
