Obituary

Marilyn "Mickey" Gatta, 85, of Niles died at 1:08PM Saturday December 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 24, 1928 in Painsville, Ohio the daughter of Charles and Edith Mosier

Mickey was employed as a waitress at Alberini's Restaurant, owned and operated The restaurant at the Youngstown Airport, and was one of the first Avon Ladies

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, The Mount Carmel Society, The Renewal Team, and volunteered at Bingo at The Church's festival. She loved animals, enjoyed cooking, baking homemade bread, gardening, sewing, flowers, and traveling.

Her husband Dominick L. Gatta whom she married October 4, 1945 died November 20, 2013.

Her daughter, Antoinette "Toni" Ross, passed away December 8, 2013.

Mickey, who made her house her home, will be deeply missed by a son Dominic Gatta and his wife Charlotte of Niles, six daughters, Pat Gelet and her husband Butch of Hubbard, Sandi Marchionte and her husband Gabe of McDonald, Gerri Rohan and her husband George of North Lima, Marilyn Davis and her husband Charlie of Niles, Heidi Swift and her husband Jim of Niles, Katrina "Tina" Brill and her husband Steve of Howland, a son-in-law John Ross II of Howland, and was proud of her 24 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Charles Mosier and David Mosier.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles with Father John-Michael Lavelle officiating.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being held by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles
