Marlene E. Smith, 63, of Warren died 5:40pm Tuesday April 9th at her residence. She was born May 12, 1949 in Sewickley, PA. the daughter of Norman Jack and Lula Keith Eckley. Marlene was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was employed at Delphi Packard as a mold operator for 30 years before retiring in 1999. She was of Christian faith, enjoyed gardening, Las Vegas and gambling junkets. She will be deeply missed by her mother Lula Eckley of Niles, brother Jack Eckley of Niles, two sisters Marie Proudfoot (John) of Boynton Beach, Florida and Lorraine Timko (Don) of Champion , two nephews Brian Eckley and John N. Proudfoot, niece Samantha Timko and also leaves her beloved and faithful dog Pugsley who she referred to as "her little angel". She is preceded in death by her father and niece Lindsay Timko. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Friday at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Ron Biehl of Harvest Christian Church in Warren. Burial will be in Green Haven Cemetery in Canfield.
