Obituary

Mary A. Biviano, 91, of Niles passed away peacefully January 16, 2014 at Vista Care- Nora's Place in Mineral Ridge.

She was born February 28, 1922 in Niles the daughter of Joseph and Madeline Ettaro Mitchell and moved to Clearfield, Pennsylvania when she was three years old.

She was a 1940 graduate of Clearfield High School and was employed as a hairdresser at Angie's Beauty Shop in Niles for seven years. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed crossword puzzles, planting flowers, watching game shows and her favorite soap operas. She was also a very good cook making her special Italian foods especially her wedding soup.

Her husband Joseph Biviano whom she married June 23, 1945 died May 26, 2003.

She will be deeply missed by a son Ronald Biviano of Warren, a daughter Sandie McGuinness and her husband Chuck of Howland, a sister Carmella Carfley of Curwensville, Pennsylvania, three grandchildren, Brian Santangelo of Warren, Mark Biviano of Searcy, Arkansas, and John Biviano of Niles, seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Mitchell, Tony Mitchell, John Mitchell, and Sam Mitchell, and two sisters, Jenny Sorbera and Angie Sturniola.

Friends may call from 3 to 5PM Sunday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where the Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 4:30PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles with Father John-Michael Lavelle officiating preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff, nurses, and caregivers at Nora's Place for their loving care to Mary.

In lieu of flowers material contributions can be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave, Niles, Ohio 44446, or a charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
