Mary E. Stabile, 79, of Evanston, Illinois, formerly of Niles, died Saturday April 25, 2015 at her residence.

She was born August 20, 1935 in Niles the daughter of James and Helen Bako Belcastro.

She was a 1953 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed as a buyer at Art's Clothiers in Warren for 10 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, volunteer at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School, past vice president of The Mount Carmel School Mothers' Club. She loved her garden, especially her pepper plants and enjoyed  cooking for her family and friends.

Her husband Salvatore "Sam" Stabile whom she married February 23, 1957 died October 29, 2006.

She will be deeply missed by her son Dr. Stephen Stabile (Andy DeFuniak) of Chicago, Illinois, her sister Jean Holmes (late husband Vincent) of Niles and her brother James Belcastro (Marcia) of Niles and all of her nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4PM up until the time of the 6PM Funeral Service Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Deacon Michael Hanshaw officiating.
