Michael James Infante, 84, of Niles died at 4:35PM Tuesday February 7, 2012 at his daughter's residence in Girard.

He was born September 8, 1927 in Niles the son of John and Angeline Cione Infante.

He was a 1946 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed as a roller at R.M.I. Titanium in Niles for 40 years before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, church festival volunteer, a member of Niles Knights of Columbus Council #1681, enjoyed golfing, bowling, and an United States Army veteran of World War II having served in Japan.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Grace Paolucci Infante whom he married October 22, 1949, two sons, Bobby "Chet" Infante and his wife Robin of Niles and Carl Infante of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a daughter and his caregivers Joyce Sheetz and her husband Brian of Girard, two brothers, John Infante of Niles and Theodore Infante of Niles, two sisters, Mary Russo of Niles and Josephine Nicastro and her husband Louis of Niles, four grandchildren, Sean Ludt , Heather Bowser and her husband Jeff, Bobby Infante and his wife Renee , and Alex Infante and his fiancAC.e Alyssa, and six great-grandchildren, Madison, Colin, Gavin, Kylie, Kelsey, and Anthony.

He is preceded in death by a baby brother.

Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30AM Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, with Fr. Peter Nobili officiating, preceded by a 9AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery where Mike will be honored for his military service by The Girard Veterans Council Honor Guard.
