Michael A. Tedesco, 67 of Niles passed away at 4:55PM Saturday December 18, 2010 surrounded by his family.
He was born February 11, 1943 in Warren the son of Michael and Betty "Olympia" Faro-Tedesco
He was a 1962 graduate of Niles McKinley High School where he played on the 1961 Football State Championship Team and attended The University of Kansas.
Michael was employed for 30 years at General Motors Lordstown before retiring in 2000, was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, Wednesday Italian Club, and United Auto Workers Local 1112. He enjoyed woodcarving, gardening, winemaking, and had a passion for cooking. He also enjoyed spending time at Lake Erie with family and friends, dancing, avid fan of Notre Dame, and a Wellness Center walker who enjoyed sitting around after having coffee with his friends.
Michael, who was very generous, light hearted, and was always with open arms to everyone, will be deeply missed by his wife Gloria Pishkur Tedesco whom he married July 9, 1994, three sons Michael Tedesco of Girard, Anthony Tedesco of Niles, and Todd Tedesco and his wife Christine of Niles, two daughters, Shelley Weirick of Niles, and Gina Bricker and her husband Rob of Canfield, a sister Patricia Mollica and her husband Dennis of Florida, formerly of Howland, and two grandchildren, Hannah and Connor.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 7PM Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will held 9:30AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles with Fr. Larry Frient officiating, preceded by a 9:00AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
