Mitchell R. Gorbey, 74, of Niles passed away on Tuesday August 12, 2025 at his residence. He was born June 27, 1951 in Warren the son of Robert and Donna Strock Gorbey. Mitchell was a 1969 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, employed as maintenance manager at WCI Steel, enjoyed playing softball, ballroom dancing, cooking, golfing. and avid Cleveland sports fan. He will be sadly missed by his wife Desiree Gorbey whom he married May 12, 2018, a son Martin Gorbey of Warren, his step-children, Ryan Urbania of South Carolina, Tyler Urbania and his wife Anna of Colorado, Taylor Totta of Niles, a brother Gerald Gorbey and his wife Betty of North Carolina, a sister Robin Alonso and her husband Richard of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Chris Gorbey and Mark Gorbey and a sister Vicki Kois. Cremation has taken place. There are no services. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
