Neil A.  Buccino, 69, of Girard, passed away on Thursday October 6, 2022 at University Hospital in Cleveland. He was born September 27, 1953 in Warren the son of Anthony and Rose Caizza Buccino. Neil was a 1971 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a Youngstown State University graduate with an associate degree in accounting. He was employed with The City of Niles in the street department, as auditor and service director for 43 years retiring in 2015. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, and Girard IFH and Knights of Columbus Council 2935. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family gatherings, dinner on Sundays, and cooking. He always put his family first and they were always very important to him. He was a great cook, loved to make Italian hot peppers, homemade wine, and canning  his own tomato sauce.  He also enjoyed vacationing in Naples, Florida and Rehobeth Beach,Delaware, listening to Italian Music, and avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Linda Thornsberry Buccino whom he married April 6, 1974, two daughters, Gina Thomas and her husband Dan of Niles and Lisa Davis and her husband Mike of Tampa, Florida, four sisters, Connie Havaich and her husband Tom of Carroll, Ohio, Josephine Boleratz and her husband Michael of Howell, Michigan, Antoinette "Toni" Buccino of Niles and Roseann Harper of Niles, five grandchildren, Logan Davis, Nick Arnaut, Sophia Arnaut, Madeline Davis, and Olivia Arnaut, a brother-in-law John Swindler of Niles, several nieces, nephews, and cousins especially John DeFalco. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lucy Swindler, and a niece Amy Havaich. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to The Project 20/20 Campaign at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave, Niles, Ohio 44446. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
