Nelson L. Brutz Jr., 73, of Niles died at 7:00PM Friday March 13, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.

He was born June 22, 1941 in Warren, Ohio the son of Nelson and Rose Dara Brutz Sr.

He was a 1959 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, a University of Mount Union graduate, employed as a machinist at National Gypsum, Syro Steel, and Trinity Steel

He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles, Niles Knights of Columbus Council #1681, Past Grand Knight, and Monsignor Francis J.  Lavery 4'th Degree. He was also a member of The Niles Lions Club, American Legion Post 106, and a United States Air Force veteran of The Vietnam War.  He enjoyed golfing, traveling to Myrtle Beach, the ocean, and gambling trips.

His wife Colleen Renna Brutz whom he married August 5, 1978 died April 1, 2008.

He will be deeply missed by several cousins.

Friends may call from 10AM to noon Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral Service of Christian Burial will be held noon Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery where Nelson will be honored for his military service by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
