Nicholas Frank Trina,96, died 10:49 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Niles Way Senior Living in Niles. Nick was born February 2, 1929 in Niles the son of Salvatore and Mary Accordino Trina. He was a 1947 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and later went on to barbering trade school. He worked with his brother Paul for many years at the Parkman Road Barbershop in Warren. Nick was a member of Saint Pope John the 23rd Parish- Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, enjoyed bocce, golfing, dancing and was a Korean war veteran of the United States Army. His wife, Peggy Trina whom he married July 17, 1976 died December 22, 2010. He will be deeply missed by his son Nicholas F. Trina Jr. (Karen) of Ogden, Utah, two daughters Bonita Trina of Bradenton, FL and Heather Dougherty of Cumming, GA, his sister Bonnie Mollica of Niles, grandchildren Jaclyn Trina, Jessica Harris (Dallin) and great-grandchildren, JJ, Jordan, Harper, Carson and Chandler, Nephew Pete (Carolyn) Mollica and family along with an extended "tribe" of folks who knew him as "Uncle Nick." He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Trina and granddaughter Jasmine. The family wishes a special thanks to the staff of Niles Way Senior and Lifeline Rehab Center for the excellent care given to Nick during his time. Friends may call Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Pope John the 23rd Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
