Nicholas J. Wiery, 52, of New Middletown, formerly of Niles, passed away on Wednesday June 14, 2023 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1971 in Warren the son of Fabian Wiery and Karen Saxon. Nick was a 1989 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School where he was one of the top athletes in football and baseball, receiving honors in both sports. He attended Walsh University, then went on to graduate from The Pittsburgh Culinary Institute.He was employed for 13 years as corporate executive chef at Sysco Food Services of Pittsburgh winning numerous awards for his chef skills. Nick was of the Catholic Faith and enjoyed gardening, traveling, outdoors, cooking, music. He was an avid sports fan especially of The Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes, but his true passion was spending time with his wife and entire family especially during the holidays. He will be deeply missed by his wife Kelly Walsh Wiery, whom he married November 22, 2014; his mother Karen Saxon of Liberty; his children Brandon Thomas David Walsh of Pittsburgh, Abigail Wiery (Michael Wagner) of Boardman, Ashley Egry and her husband Seth of Ashtabula, Ava Wiery of Poland, Anna Wiery (Daniel Linebaugh) of Austintown, and Nicholas Edwin Wiery of New Middletown; two grandchildren, Sonny Egry and Braxton Linebaugh. He was preceded in death by his father Fabian Wiery and His paternall grandparents, Phillip and Magnifica Wiery. Nick had a fierce passion for life and made sure to live everyday to the fullest with his wife. He always embraced his wife and loved his children greatly. Family was the core of his heart. Nick had a beautiful personality that inspired everyone he touched. He had humor that would fill a room with laughter. Food was his love language that he learned from his grandmother Magnifica. He loved bringing together his family every Sunday as a tradition. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 4:30 P.M.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 A.M. Monday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, preceded by a 10:30 A.M. prayer service at the funeral home.Material contributions can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Ohio, 2831 Prospect Ave ,Cleveland Ohio 44115.
