Obituary

Philip A. Crish, 72, of Howland, died Tuesday September 3, 2013 at his residence.

He was born June 25, 1941 in Niles the son of Angelo and Angie Tauro Crish.

He was a 1959 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a 1966 graduate of Youngstown State University with a B.E. Degree in Civil Engineering.

Philip was a Certified Professional Engineer. He worked as a district construction engineer for The Ohio Department of Transportation for 45 years retiring in 2011. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed coaching Niles Little League Baseball for many years, golfing, wintering in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Ohio State fan.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Susan Ellwood Crish whom he married September 10, 1966, a son John Crish and his wife Kathy of Alliance, Ohio, a daughter Joanne O'Dell and her husband Sean of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, a brother David Crish and his wife Kathy of Niles, a sister Maria McGaha and her husband Walter of Greenville, South Carolina, and two grandchildren, Philip O'Dell and Nicholas O' Dell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 5:00PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, with Father Frederick Trucksis officiating, preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at The Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
