Rachel M. Gumina, 87, of Howland died at 6:10AM Friday, October 15, 2010, at her residence.

She was born November 1, 1922 in Youngstown the daughter of Carlo and Angelia Lombruno Palumbo.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles and a homemaker.

Her husband Samuel Gumina whom she married May 11, 1946 died March 29, 1997.

She will be deeply missed by two daughters Sandra Protopapa of Hubbard and Mary Rose Shelar with whom she made her home with, a sister Carmel Romeo of Campbell, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

There are no calling hours. Private services will be held at a later date.
