Reverend Carmine Reigle, 85, of Niles died at 2:26AM Tuesday. August 31, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Warren, Ohio.
He was born August 21, 1925 in Niles the son of Joseph and Nicolina Guacci Reigle.
He was a 1943 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and ordained a minister of The Christian Churches of North America in 1950 in Washington D.C. In 1950 he became the first full time pastor of The Niles Christian Assembly up until his retirement in 1991.
During his 41 years as a minister he also drove school bus for the Howland School district and worked as an arc welder at Copperweld Steel.
Reverend Carmine was a member of The International Fellowship of Christian Assembly formerly known as the Christian Churches of North America. He served on its executive board, its home mission director, assistant general overseer of The Northwest district, and director of Benevolance. He also served as a youth camp and conference administrator for the district.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and was a member of Niles Church softball, golf, and bowling leagues.
Reverend, who always said "Take Life One Tick at a Time" will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Eleanor Bernard Reigle whom he married June 2, 1945, a son Ronald C. Reigle, at home, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by seven brothers, Anthony Reigle, Dominck Riegle, Philip Reigle, Sam Reigle, Charles Reigle, Rockie Reigle, and John Reigle, and three sisters, Grace Miceli, Edith Drobik, and Mary Yurjevich.
Friends may call from 5 to 8PM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Reverend Carmine will lie in state from 9:30AM up until the time of the 10:30AM funeral service Saturday at Niles Christian Assembly, North Road, with Reverends Andrew Farina, John Mizgerd, and Eugene DeMarco officiating.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
